This year, the registration of foreign funded enterprises keeps an ever rapid increasing speed in Dalian Development Area (DDA). Up to the end of June, 70 foreign enterprises registered in DDA, an increase of 79% compared to the same period in 2006. The total amount of registered capital is 880% of that in 2006.

    Among these newly established enterprises, 10 projects have a registered capital of more than 10 million USD, including Intel Semiconductor Project, Multiplex Optoelectronics and Sanyo Turbine Project. With a registered capital of 625 million USD and total investment of 2.5 billion USD, the Intel Semiconductor Project has become a mile stone since the establishment of DDA. The great investment scale and industrial influence of these projects have enhanced the economic growth momentum of DDA.
