On March 26^th 2007, Intel and Dalian Municipal Government held a contract signing ceremony and news conference in the Great Hall of the People, commemorating the event of establishment of a new Intel plant (Fab 68) in Dalian Development Area. On March 27^th, Dalian Shangri-La Hotel witnessed the signing ceremony of the establishment of Semiconductor Technology Institute in Dalian. Zhao Qinping, the deputy minister of the Ministry of Education attended the occasion. Other people who attended the ceremony were Mr. Chen Weiding, Vice President of Intel, officials from Liaoning Province, Dalian Municipality and Administrative Committee of Dalian Development Area.
